THE CAFE AT MIDDLEBURY CONSIGNMENT

On Wednesday I attended a really cool cooking class at The Café at Middlebury Consignment in Middlebury, CT. It was an evening filled with great food, drinks and mingling with other local social influencers and bloggers.

Since the fall of 2010, Middlebury Consignment has been offering a wide variety of cooking classes in their state-of-the art gourmet kitchen. Their classes welcome all skill levels and fit a group as large as 14 people. We were guided by executive Chef Mary Kravec, through a delicious menu and an amazing evening that blended food and learning together in an interactive experience.

The menu for the evening was called Stuzzichini (Italian for Appitzers), which consisted of the following:

Pancetta, Broccoli Rabe & Smoked Fresh Mozzarella Pizzetta

RoastedRape & Ricotta Pizzette

Stuffed Baby Artichokes

Grilled Pork Scarpiello Skewers

Honey Balsamic Chicken Wings w/ Rosemary & Lemon Zest

Crispy Herbed Goat Cheese Polenta Bites w/ Romesco Sauce

Mini Blueberry Lavendar Crème Brulee

We also got a chance to tour the entire building and see the Design center, Gift Shop and Consignment store.

The other blogger who attended were Bonnie from Home Place Blog, Natalie from New England Foodie,  Brittny from Basic Brittny, Hannah from Sometimes Social, Amanda from the Amanda Bella, Christine from Vigor and Vogue and Nonee from Nonee’s World.
