2019 is around the corner and I feel it’s a good time to reflect on changes and improvements we want to make
Below are 4 quick ways she suggested can help us move beyond average:
- Double check your work – A small typo could be the difference between you and someone else (equally qualified) getting an opportunity.
- Research – Soak up as much knowledge about everything as you can! Go to museums, listen to podcasts on topics you normally wouldn’t and watch documentaries. The more you know, the more well rounded you become.
- Get Feedback – Check in with people around you to ask them how you’re doing personally and professionally. Ask
other what they think about your work and if there are opportunities for growth. - Forgive yourself quickly – We will all make mistakes and disappoint ourselves professionally and in business. It’s going to happen, but when it does, you have to acknowledge your part and move on!

Amen!!! I need to start rereading and giving 110% in my work but at the same time I need to forgive myself when there’s a mistake because we are all human after all!
I love this so much. I try to double check, cross my t’s and dot my i’s. It’s so important to be self aware as well.
