I can’t believe AFFROPUNK Weekend is already over, it was such a fun weekend! I stayed at the Tillary Hotel ( formerly Dazzler Brooklyn) and this place was gorgeous, it has a beautiful beer garden, amazing lobby décor and the rooms were so cozy. I really appreciated that it was less than a 10 minute walk to the festival venue! It was convenient to be so close, so that changing wasn’t an issue.

Every year, AFROPUNK always has so many events and performances, and being my first year attending, I wanted to make sure I was able to absorb everything. I didn’t drive myself or Chinn crazy and try to be at everything, but we made sure we at least visited every stage so we were familiar with the park. We also made it to the festival early in the afternoon to visit all the clothing and food vendors before the park got packed in the evening. I was really happy that we were able to see all the artists we wanted to see play!
