I haven’t had a chance to read my last post sharing some essential habits to develop while working from home, check it out here.
For today’s post, I want to share a few personal development tips that have helped me while working remotely:
- Remain open, flexible, and communicate
- Tell everyone who needs to know about your schedule and availability often. When you need help, finish a project or important task, say so, by utilizing your company’s messenger software
- Become an expert in time management.
- When assigned a new task, plan to get it done early rather than procrastinating
- “Show Up” to Meetings and Be Heard
- Be sure to speak up during meetings so everyone knows you’re on the call
- Seize every opportunity for additional training at your job.
- Look for opportunities to grow professionally while offering added value to the company
- Let your network know what you’re up to and any changes in your role
- In group meetings or when your network, share your team’s activities, how you have set and exceeded goals and any opprotunities
