I’ve gotten a few questions about sun hat recommendations for us natural girls with a lot of hair. We all know that it’s a struggle trying to find hats in general that fit all our hair. After doing a little research, I wanted to share a few ways you can get a hat that fits all your gorgeous curls this summer!
- Baron Hats (Pictured Above) – They can make any hat with your custom measurements
- Tilley Sun Hats – They have sun hats that go up to X-large
- Sun Grubbies – You can find sun protective hats with sizes up to 2X-Large
- Straw Visor – Just put your hair in a pineapple and you’re good to go!

I like to wrap in a silk scarf to make a small head. Hat on top and total protection. Hat can come off, pretty scarf. No comb out. Swim? Bring cap. Rinse, condition, silk wrap, back under hat till home! I know it’s a lot but I love my lush, thick coils and thus us how I keep them from drying out in hot summers. Plus, super elegant on the beach or poolside in the tiniest bikini or white one piece you dare to wear. I dare! Got that Brazilian wax😉
