WHY YOU SHOULD BE USING SHEA BUTTER

I grew up using raw shea butter as a moisturizer for my skin and hair. My grandmother and mom would always bring tubs of shea butter from Nigeria. It was a common household beauty product we used on our body, lips, hair and hands.

I love using shea butter especially in the winter time, when my skin and hair is prone to becoming dry. I even make my own whipped body butter to help the application of the shea butter be even easier. So with today’s post, I want to share a few benefits of using shea butter in your beauty routine.

  1. Deeply moisturizes skin and hair.

2. Softens dry hands and callused feet.

3. Provides sunburn relief.

4. It’s a natural and effective replacement for mineral oil and petroleum gel products.

5. Helps protect and nourish skin to prevent drying.

6. Contains fatty acids that aid in the treatment of acne and blemishes

Have you used shea butter or products with shea butter in it?
