BERMUDA FOR CARNIVAL ITINERARY

Bermuda is a stunning island filled with pink sand beaches, turquoise waters, and vibrant culture. The annual Bermuda Carnival, is one of the most exciting and colorful events that take place on the island. If you’re looking for a unique travel experience filled with music, dance, and cultural celebration, then the Bermuda Carnival is a must-visit. In this blog post, we’ll take you through the itinerary I had of the Bermuda Carnival, highlighting all the events, activities, and must-see sights that you can enjoy during this week-long celebration.

Day 1 Friday, June 17
Arrive at L. F. Wade International airport

Arrive and check-in at  Azura Bermuda


Experience Azura Bermuda, nestled on the cliffs along Bermuda’s coveted stretch of South Shore beach overlooking the dazzling hues of the Atlantic. Grab lunch and enjoy a refreshing beverage on property at Vida
Restaurant & Bar. Explore the luxuries at the hotel, take a dip in the ocean or relax by the infinity-edge pool and get lost in the Atlantic Seabreeze.

6:45 pm Meet taxi at the entrance to Azura for transport to Hamilton Princess Hotel & Beach Club for dinner.
Carnival in Bermuda influencers and host will be joining for dinner. Get inspired by the ambiance of the hotel’s incredible collection of modern art before enjoying a breath-taking dinner at the Crown & Anchor. A reimagined traditional island lounge as a sleek, contemporary venue which honors the traditions of the past, enjoy their delicious summer menu that offers all your favorites and a few new additions to your taste buds.

9:00 pm After dinner, take a short stroll into the City of Hamilton to Front Street. Stop by Pickled Onion to enjoy cocktails and watch how this Front Street terrace restaurant transforms into “Bacardi Fridays” with dancing and music played by Bermuda’s very own DJ Rusty G.

 

Day 2 Saturday, June 18
8:30 am Enjoy a casual breakfast at the Vida Restaurant & Bar located on the hotel property pool area and enjoy leisure time in a cabana over-looking the South Shore crystal blue waters.

VIDA Restaurant

With an incredible clifftop oceanfront setting, VIDA features delicious cuisine, specialty island-inspired cocktails and a selection of fine wine. Starring fine steak, fish prepared fresh on its BBQ, alongside laid-back favourites such as flatbreads, burgers and salads. Located poolside, VIDA is currently offering limited seasonal breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus.

11:00 am Meet the taxi and head to the charter boat for Carnival in Bermuda experience #1, Raft Up.

8:30 pm Taxi pick-up from the entrance of Azura for a short ride to LITT Restaurant for a casual dining experience. Enjoy freshly caught seafood from own Delvin and be sure to acquaint your taste buds with something from the cocktail menu that will be sure to give you a laugh as you order.

Day 3 – Sunday, June 19

9:00 am Tour of Tom Moore’s Jungle –  Tom Moore’s Jungle and Blue Hole Park Walk lush forest trails, swim in translucent blue waters and explore subterranean caves at this 12-acre reserve that is locally known as Tom Moore’s Jungle, named for the Irish poet who favoured the area for writing. Along the trails you’ll see mangroves, several bird species and natural swimming grottoes like the famous Blue Hole, part of Blue Hole Park, which is located within Walsingham Nature Reserve. Before leaving, pay a visit to Bermuda’s oldest restaurant, Tom Moore’s Tavern – housed in a 17th-century estate at the edge of the reserve.

11:10 am Arrive at Crystal Caves where you will meet your guide. Take a tour of The Crystal and Fantasy Caves, formed over millions of years and enjoy stunning azure underground pools and incredible formations.

12:00 pm Taxi pick-up from the entrance of Crystal Caves. Make a stop at the Café Olé , located at the entrance to Crystal Caves to try a traditional Bermuda fish sandwich. To indulge like a local, have your lightly fried fresh Bermuda fish fillets served on raisin bread. Request tartar sauce and hot sauce and coleslaw ‘on the side’. Grab a beverage to accompany your sandwich.

6:00 pm  head to Carnival experience #3, Glow Bermuda, an all-inclusive, mature all-white feté
located in the Queen Elizabeth Park. Prepare yourself to be transformed into an all-white Moroccan affair unlike any other. Featuring top local and international entertainment, you’ll get a first-hand preview of where Trinidad meets Bermuda. Food and drinks will be provided at this event.

Day 5 Monday, June 20 – Carnival in Bermuda!
4:00 am Meet taxi and BTA host Tashae Thompson at the entrance of Azura
for transport to Bernard’s Park for Carnival experience #4, Jam Jouvert, the most highly anticipated event for Carnival Weekend in Bermuda.

Jam Jouvert, presented by Party People Entertainment, NOVA Mas International and Code Red Bermuda is messy yet exhilarating event which involves paint, powder and water. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes (preferably shorts and a T-Shirt) you don’t mind throwing away after. Also, wrap your hair tightly to avoid any of these items from entering your headspace. Food and drinks are provided.

9:30 am Taxi pick-up from Bernard’s Park for transport to Azura. Enjoy a nap or relaxation before changing into costumes and makeup application for the main event; Revel De Road Parade of the Bands!
Carnival in Bermuda influencers and depart with you.

1:00 pm  Head to Carnival experience #5, Revel De Road, Carnival in Bermuda parade. Meet up with Party People Entertainment band for Lap 2, beginning at Marsh Folly Road for an epic mas experience. Party People Entertainment is the largest carnival band on the island, filled with pure vibes and fun you could only imagine. Food and drinks are provided. Be sure to wear your meal/drink ticket bracelets to redeem amenities. Bring your water bottle provided to top up on drinks and wear comfy shoes as the route is quite long.
